Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction is one of the oldest forms of personal support in existence — and one of the least understood.
It's not a church service. It's not therapy. It's not life coaching.
It's a regular, honest conversation with someone trained to help you pay attention to what's actually happening in your inner life — your questions, your struggles, your sense of meaning and purpose. Joe helps you slow down and look at what's really going on beneath the surface.
Whether you're deeply rooted in a faith tradition or not religious at all, spiritual direction is for anyone trying to make sense of their life with more clarity and less noise.
Lots of people want to have spiritual conversations but don’t want to be connected to religion or the institution of religion, I get that. I care about you, your past and your future. Let’s talk about you.
ATHLETES
I am an endurance athlete. That means I have failed more times than I can remember. I work closely with athletes to provide a spiritual framework and grounds for building mental toughness and reaching physical goals. As a marathon/channel swimmer I understand how to train, how to suffer, and how to be alone in your head for hours on end. I would be stoked to be a part of you reaching your goals. You are worth it. let’s talk about going big! You are worth it!, You are enough!
RELATIONSHIPS
I work closely with couples who desire their relationships and marriage to grow and move forward. I don’t want marriages/relationships to simply survive I desire them to move and grow in love. When couples hit road blocks and trauma (they all do!) I am willing to step in and provide direction and hope. You will get no judgement from me, and nothing that you're struggling with will shock me; sex, kids, money, communication, infidelity, spiritual conflict…. I’m in! Don’t give up, I’m here to help. SORROW & LOSS
For 30 years I have journeyed with families and individuals as death approaches and arrives. I meet regularly with those who face death and those who carry grief and sorrow. I believe folks deserve the best spiritual care in the face of death. We look to teachers and coaches to teach us new skills, I can help you learn the skills of living with death and grief. “You won’t ever get over this loss, but you can learn to live with it”. Let’s talk about your loss, it matters. You matter.
Guest Speaker
I am a gifted public speaker, when I speak people listen. I have been the keynote speaker in a living room with 15 people and in a large event center filled with one thousand of my closest friends. I speak about death and dying, life and living and everything in between. I love to speak and motivate through sharing stories and connecting relationally with an audience.

Yes, I do weddings. The weddings I do are very unique, if your looking for the quick religious service I am not your guy. If you are looking for a service that is truly unique and catered to who you are as a couple, I’m all in!
